Top Women in Tech Speaking at DigitalXChange

DigitalXChange is almost here. We’ve been highlighting some of our keynote and customer speakers over the past few weeks. We are especially excited to have some of the top women in tech presenting at the event.

Getting things started is Forrester’s Julie Ask. As a VP and Principal Analyst at Forrester, Julie helps business leaders identify new opportunities and strategies to engage with consumers on mobile devices. Julie’s research and analysis have been widely cited in publications including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, USA Today, NBC, and PBS, among many others.

Julie will also moderate a mainstage panel after delivering her keynote presentation. Microsoft’s Megan Lawrence will join this session as a panelist. Megan is a skilled accessibility professional with more than 13 years of experience in designing, implementing, and analyzing qualitative and quantitative research that lead to accessibility solutions. In addition to her work at Microsoft, Megan also serves on the Aira.io Scientific Advisory Board, is the co-founder of Portland’s Accessibility and User Experience Meetup, and teaches in the Access Working Group.

In one of DigitalXChange’s breakout sessions, American Cancer Society’s Tammy Key will discuss how real-world testing can increase code coverage and speed release velocity. Tammy has worked with American Cancer Society for 10 years, holding roles including Web Development Team Lead, Senior Project Manager, and QA Manager. Currently, she is the Senior Manager of Production Operations Support. In this role, Tammy is responsible for release and QA management – two teams she built from the ground up and made essential pieces of the IT and development processes at the nonprofit.

Continuing in the breakout sessions, LEGO’s Head of Digital Quality, Trine Balle Jensen, will give a presentation about LEGO’s building blocks to safeguarding quality. During her 11 years with the brand, Trine has taken on a large variety of strategic roles throughout the digital product value chain. Her mission is to raise quality awareness to preserve LEGO’s core values and culture in her work.

Another breakout panelist is Muriel Naim. Muriel is the Director of Creative & UX at HopSkipDrive – a ride-sharing service for kids. She specializes in cross-platform products, research, deep analysis, and Information Architecture. She’ll be presenting in a showcase session about how to use eye tracking technologies, voice recordings, and user feedback to maximize user experience. In addition to her work at HopSkipDrive, Muriel is also an independent film director and writer. She directs and develops both large- and small-scale film projects across Europe and Tel Aviv.

Rana el Kaliouby – the CEO and co-founder of Affectiva – is DigitalXChange’s final keynote. Rana will discuss how technology can be humanized through artificial emotional intelligence, or what she calls “Emotion AI.” Prior to founding Affectiva, Rana was a research scientist at the MIT Media Lab where she spearheaded applications for facial coding to benefit mental health, autism, and other research areas.

We are excited to welcome all of these top women in tech to DigitalXChange ‘18. I will also be moderating a panel about how leading companies use crowd testing to do the impossible. I hope to see you there!
